Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has partnered with She Sells Sea Shells for a holiday fundraiser benefiting Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa.
Starting Friday, Nov. 3, customers, residents and tourists will be able to purchase handmade original seashell ornaments designed and created by Anne Joffe, the “She” of She Sells Sea Shells. The ornaments, which range in price from $5 to $18, will be displayed on trees and sold in both Sanibel Captiva Community Bank island branches, as well as other island businesses.
“We are proud to support local businesses for a cause that has touched all of us in some way,” said Sanibel Captiva Community Bank President and CEO Craig Albert. “This fundraiser is a great way to support Moffitt’s research efforts.”
She Sells Sea Shells is donating 100 percent of sales to Moffitt Cancer Center, and Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has committed to matching the donation.
“Giving back to the community is a core value of She Sells Sea Shells and has been an ongoing practice for more than 40 years,” said Joffe.
