FORT MYERS, Fla. (May 19, 2025) – Sanibel Captiva Community Bank will temporarily suspend services at its McGregor Branch, located at 15975 McGregor Blvd., starting Monday, May 19, as the bank enters the final phase of construction on its new permanent branch being built on the property.
The mobile unit was installed in 2023 after the bank’s original McGregor Branch sustained significant damage from Hurricane Ian. Since then, the temporary facility has allowed the bank to continue serving customers during construction of the new, full-service branch on site.
With the new building in the final stages of construction, the mobile unit is being removed to make way for the remaining site work, including parking lot installation and exterior finishing. The new, state-of-the-art branch is expected to open this summer and will feature a drive-up ATM, safe deposit boxes, a multi-lane drive-thru and a community room.
“Removing the temporary mobile unit marks the final stretch in bringing our new McGregor Branch to life,” said Kyle DeCicco, president and CEO of Sanibel Captiva Community Bank. “We look forward to welcoming customers into a beautiful new space that reflects both our resilience and commitment to our customers and community.”
While banking services are temporarily unavailable at the McGregor location, customers are encouraged to visit the bank’s four nearest branches:
- Bridge Branch, 9311 College Parkway (4.4 miles)
- Winkler Branch, 7040 Winkler Road (4.5 miles)
- College Branch, 7500 College Parkway (6.2 miles)
- Periwinkle Branch, 1019 Periwinkle Way (7.7 miles)
