FORT MYERS, Fla. (June 5, 2023) – Sanibel Captiva Community Bank was recently named one of the “Best Places to Work in Southwest Florida” by Gulfshore Business. The bank was chosen as one of 20 Southwest Florida company honorees after an assessment and selection process conducted by Best Companies Group, an independent research firm that specializes in identifying and recognizing great places to work.
To be considered for participation, companies had to meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Have at least 15 employees working in Southwest Florida (Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hendry and Lee counties along with the Fort Myers-Naples DMA)
- Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity
- Be a publicly or privately held business
- Have a facility in the Southwest Florida region
- Must be in business for a minimum of one year
Companies from across the region entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Southwest Florida. The process consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices and demographics, which was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. An employee survey was distributed to measure the employee experience worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. Combined scores determined the top companies and final rankings. Best Companies Group managed the process in Southwest Florida and analyzed the data to determine the companies selected. The bank will be recognized in the June issue of Gulfshore Business, where the rankings will be revealed for the first time along with profiles of each winning company.
“We are honored to be recognized as one of the ‘Best Places to Work in Southwest Florida,’” said Kyle DeCicco, president and CEO of Sanibel Captiva Community Bank. “We’ve worked very hard to create a unique and special atmosphere where employees, as well as their families, feel valued, heard and respected.”
