(May 12, 2025) – Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has purchased the historic Edison Theatre building in downtown Fort Myers that currently houses its full-service branch, located at 1533 Hendry Street. The three-story building will continue to serve as the bank’s downtown location, with the second and third floors remaining occupied by current professional tenants.
The acquisition marks a significant milestone in the bank’s continued growth and investment in Southwest Florida. Since opening its downtown branch in 2017, Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has become a trusted partner to businesses and residents throughout the city’s historic core.
