A memorial fund for William “Willie” Jenkins, the Fort Myers teen who died shark fishing off the Sanibel Causeway, has been established at Sanibel Captiva Community Bank by the staff of Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre, where both of William’s parents are employed.
Donations can be made at any Sanibel Captiva Community Bank location to the William Jenkins Memorial Fund. After the bank made a corporate contribution to the memorial fund a number of bank employees decided to challenge colleagues to match the bank’s donation through individual donations. Those efforts have resulted in nearly $1,500 contributed to the memorial fund by the bank and its employees. Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre has promised to match every donation, dollar for dollar.
