FORT MYERS, Fla. (June 10, 2020) – Sanibel Captiva Community Bank is pleased to announce a charitable donation in the amount of $100,000 to help 11 Southwest Florida not-for-profit organizations serving children and feeding people in need due to the unprecedented challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We want to support our community as we all face the hardships this global pandemic is causing,” said Sanibel Captiva Community Bank Chief Executive Officer and President, Craig Albert. “We’ve dealt with our fair share of disasters in Southwest Florida, including Hurricanes Charlie and Irma, and we’ve proven ourselves to be a resilient community. I am confident we will all get through this by helping one another.”
Sanibel Captiva Community Bank’s $100,000 gift will support Southwest Florida programs serving the ongoing needs of children and hunger relief efforts, including The Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida, F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva, Blessings in a Backpack SWFL, Valerie’s House, PACE Center for Girls-Lee, The Heights Foundation, Hearts to Home, Senior Friendship Centers, Children’s Education Center of the Islands, Sanibel Sea School and the Sanibel School Fund.
The bank’s not-for-profit financial contributions are in addition to its ongoing work with customers through Small Business Administration Paycheck Protection Program loans, other loans and lines of credit, and loan deferrals.
