As your neighbors, friends and community bank we care about you and your family all year but especially during hurricane season. In the 19 years we served Southwest Florida we’ve seen our fair share of hurricanes and storms. As a business we have storm preparations and disaster plans we follow to ensure we can continue to serve our customers and community before, during and after a storm. If properly prepared you can minimize the negative impact a storm can have on you, your family and your business.
By doing four simple things you can be better prepared when, and if a hurricane hits our area.
- Get physically ready
- Nonperishable food
- Water – its recommended to have a supply of 1 gallon per day, per family member for 5-7 days (and don’t forget about your furry family member too)
- Consider purchasing a generator before a threat of a storm
- Make sure you have enough of any medications you made need
- Stock up on batteries for flashlights and devices
- Purchase a portable power bank to charge your cell phone in the event of the loss of power

- Have cash on hand in a safe place
- Check insurance coverages
- Review current policies like homeowner, renters and auto
