Meet Puja
Puja is a Residential Loan Officer based in our Downtown Fort Myers location. She is a true Florida native, born in Fort Lauderdale. Her family moved to Sanibel when she was just two years old to open a retail business on the island. Her parents only recently retired from running their family-owned businesses in 2021.
With over fifteen years in the banking industry Puja started her banking career at First Community Bank of Southwest Florida in 2005 working her way up from teller to office manager. She joined Sanibel Captiva Community Bank in 2012 working on the retail side until 2017 when she made the jump to the lending division.
She’s been married to her Cypress Lake High School sweetheart for 23 years and has two kids, a daughter, 22 and son, 20. Both her children graduated from Cypress Lake High School, so Panther pride runs deep at the Romero home. Family means everything to Puja. Both Puja and her husband’s family reside in Fort Myers and are an extremely tight-knit group.
Puja is a member of the Women’s Council of Realtor/Bonita Springs-Estero, Royal Palm Coast Realtor Association and Naples Area Board of Realtors. She is an active employee volunteer logging in many hours for the hundreds of nonprofit and charitable organizations the Bank is involved with.
Customer Testimonial
“As a real estate investor, I have dealt with several lenders and loan officers who have successfully closed loans for me and in general they have been a positive experience. Those experiences pale in compared to the professional treatment I receive from Puja Romero of Sanibel Captiva Community Bank. She is a dedicated, hard, smart working professional. She is brilliant, humble, distinguished, modest, full of personality and integrity yet quiet and with absolute ardor speaks softly yet candidly.”
