“ Craig Albert, CEO and President of Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has been my contact at the bank for years. After I opened Keylime Bistro I started buying surrounding properties to provide more parking for the restaurant. When I purchased RC Otters in December 2003 SanCap Bank was my lender providing a seamless and effortless closing. As I expanded, Craig and the bank continued to help me with loans and banking services. In July 2004 I purchased a home on Sanibel, SanCap Bank was again was my lender. Not a month later Hurricane Charley hit. My son and I decided not to evacuate, in fact we opened our home to friends, colleagues and customers. Once we realized the storm was headed right for us it was too late to evacuate. We hunkered down and rode out the storm. After the storm passed we didn’t have power for over a month and no water for over a week. Between cooking on our gas stove, chain sawing and hauling debris we made progress every day. In the meantime my pager kept on going off - my banker from a big bank I had a loan with. The bank had just been purchased by an even larger bank and they wanted their money. In contrast during that same time, I was outside working to clear debris when Craig Albert pulls in my driveway. He said, “I just wanted to check on you and let you know our board of directors met and we will be waiving your payments for six months”. I asked Craig to call the other bank and explain the condition my home and office was in. The big box bank was asking for my latest financial statements so they could get their payments on time. Craig made the phone call for me and took the money out of my SanCap account to pay my next two payments to that bank. “ Craig Albert, CEO and President of Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has been my contact at the bank for years. After I opened Keylime Bistro I started buying surrounding properties to provide more parking for the restaurant. When I purchased RC Otters in December 2003 SanCap Bank was my lender providing a seamless and effortless closing. As I expanded, Craig and the bank continued to help me with loans and banking services. In July 2004 I purchased a home on Sanibel, SanCap Bank was again was my lender. Not a month later Hurricane Charley hit. My son and I decided not to evacuate, in fact we opened our home to friends, colleagues and customers. Once we realized the storm was headed right for us it was too late to evacuate. We hunkered down and rode out the storm. After the storm passed we didn’t have power for over a month and no water for over a week. Between cooking on our gas stove, chain sawing and hauling debris we made progress every day. In the meantime my pager kept on going off - my banker from a big bank I had a loan with. The bank had just been purchased by an even larger bank and they wanted their money. In contrast during that same time, I was outside working to clear debris when Craig Albert pulls in my driveway. He said, “I just wanted to check on you and let you know our board of directors met and we will be waiving your payments for six months”. I asked Craig to call the other bank and explain the condition my home and office was in. The big box bank was asking for my latest financial statements so they could get their payments on time. Craig made the phone call for me and took the money out of my SanCap account to pay my next two payments to that bank. What I learned from working with Craig and SanCap Bank is they are relationship bankers. They step up to the plate and care for their client’s needs. “
